Consent Culture Crew

Jo, Erika and Drew bring a unique combination of skills to Consent Lab.  Our presentation, teaching and facilitation experience covers the private, public and corporate sector.  Together we are passionate learners of all things consent.  Our vision is to facilitate humans to feel empowered in all settings to communicate confidently and consensually and have plenty of fun in the process.

Jo Marie RM CSB

Modern day medicine for birth and sex positive humans being

I am director of Red Thread, a midwifery and sexual health practice based in Melbourne, Australia. Over the course of my adult life I have sought teachers and practices that evoke and promote embodiment, pleasure and trauma prevention.

I am a Registered Midwife (twenty years), Certified Sexological Bodyworker, individual and relationship counsellor and mindfulness teacher.

My greatest thrill is to inspire, promote and witness others to experience liberation, freedom and embodiment in their lives, and to feel resourced and supported throughout life transitions.

Empowering mindful communication and consent

Combining my personal interests in authentic human relating and sexuality together with 25 years of experience as a successful sales leader, coach and international speaker, I help people to relate to one another authentically in their personal and professional lives. My strength lies in co-creating authentic relationships with other humans with mindful, empowered consent and communication being the foundation of my practice.
Through my experience with cancer I discovered mindfulness as a key to my healing and empowerment. That experience changed my life and lit my fire for a new culture of consent.
